Our meeting
room, MCS 180, is located on the first floor of the Mathematics and Computer
Science building (MCS) at 111 Cummington Street in Boston, one block south
of Commonwealth Avenue in the Back Bay region of Boston. There is street
parking on both sides of Cummington Street, but it is quite competitive.

Directions

By Subway -- the "T":

Take the B branch of the Green Line to the "B.U. East" T stop on Commonwealth
Avenue between Granby Street and Cummington Street. (This stop is two stops
west/outbound from the Kenmore Square stop.) Then proceed south one block
to Cummington Street (which is shaped like an L).

By Car:

From South or North:

Take I-93 into the center of Boston (the "Central Artery"). Take the exit
for Storrow Drive and proceed west on Storrow to the exit for Kenmore Square.
After exiting, turn right at Beacon Street and continue to Kenmore Square,
where a slight right-hand turn will put you on Commonwealth Ave heading
west. Turn left at Blandford Street, which leads on to Cummington Street.

From West:

Take the Mass Pike (I-90) to the Allston/Brighton exit, heading toward
Cambridge. Just before crossing the river, take a right turn on to Storrow
drive heading east. Proceed east on Storrow to the exit for Kenmore Square.
After exiting, turn right at Beacon Street and continue to Kenmore Square,
where a slight right-hand turn will put you on Commonwealth Ave heading
west. Turn left at Blanford Street, which leads on to Cummington Street.

By Taxi:

If the taxi driver doesn't know Cummington Street, say that it is
right behind 700 Commonwealth Avenue. For taxi drivers who are
old-timers, it may also help to mention that the "Nickelodeon" cinema
was on Cummington Street (before they replaced it by yet another
B.U. skyscraper).
